Edward Tyndall is a writer and documentary filmmaker whose work explores history, memory, and cultural collision. He is drawn to characters navigating the uneasy myths that shape American life.

His story Stag won the 2026 Gulf Coast Prize in Fiction. His work has appeared in Gulf Coast, The Greensboro Review, The Main Street Rag, and other literary journals and anthologies. His films have aired on PBS and screened internationally, including at the Tribeca Film Festival and the BFI London Film Festival, receiving more than fifty awards and nominations.

Tyndall is an Associate Professor of Film & Television and a member of the writing faculty at the University of Colorado Denver.
